Important Information

* Please be advised that Garden Route Villas are free-standing houses, situated in the Sedgefield residential area. This is not a resort in the true sense of the word.
* Check-in is done at Baywater Village Resort.  Guests will be directed to their unit from Baywater Village. 
* Your exchange is strictly not transferrable for commercial gain and should you use your exchange for such purposes, your membership will immediately be cancelled without any booking and membership fee refund.
** Please note: The resort will be obliged to refuse admittance, if this confirmation letter is not produced or the person wishing to use the booking is not the member as stated on the letter, or is not in possession of a valid guest certificate, or if the indemnity form is not duly completed or signed.  The resort will require Identification documents to validate that the person checking in is indeed the person indicated on the confirmation letter.
* Late arrivals - please notify resort 48 hours prior to arrival.
* Resorts are required to check proof of Identity upon check in. 
* No Overoccupancy will be allowed. Children of all ages and babies are included in the number of guests. 
* Please advise the resort of all check-ins after 7pm, in order for arrangements to be made for an after hours check-in with security.
* Memebers may use the facilities at Baywater Village.
* Paddle boats and canoes are free to use. There is an additional cost to some of the other water sport activities.
* A Recreational Fishing permit can be bought at the Sedgefield Post Office or San Parks Offices, this will allow you to fish at Baywater Village.
* Management and staff will assist in any way they can to ensure that you have a truly fantastic holiday experience; however, it is essential that all guests conform to the terms and conditions of occupation and respect the rights of all parties concerned. 
* The units are NOT wheelchair friendly.
* There are No units on the waterfront.
* Trading Hours for facilities at Baywater Village are:

  • Reception – Daily from 08:00-16:30 (Tue-Thu) 08:00-19H00 (Mon&Fri) Closed on Sunday
  • Café – Open from 08:30 to 16:00 daily except for Friday mornings
  • Bar- Open from 12:00-20:00 daily except for Sundays 12:00-17:00 and Closed on Mondays
  • Kiosk- Open Daily from 08:00-17:00 (last orders 16:15)
  • Boathouse- Daily from 08:00-17:00

* There are no chalets on the waterfront
** Please note: The resort does not do daily linen changes. With the country’s current state of water shortages we are trying to save water by not washing towels every day. Towels will gladly be changed on request or by leaving your towels in the bath or washing basket. Charges do apply if service is abused.**
** Please note: Even though there is no Key/Breakage fee charged, the resort asks all guests to adhere to the resort rules to avoid penalty fees and having to pay for breakages that may occur.  Late Check-out will incurr a penalty fee for every hour after 10am.  There is also a penalty fee charged for the loss of unit keys.**
** Please note: Electricity in the units is on prepaid basis.  Please use the electricity as sparingly as possible.**
** Please note: No pets are permitted at any resort**
** Please note: Sleeper couches are only suitable for small children under the age of 12 **
** Please note: Please adhere to the Smoking Regulations of the resort. Any smoking in the unit will result in a penalty fee.**
** Please note: Failure to abide by the resort rules and or any directive from management may lead to your eviction at the resort.  You are required to adhere to the resorts rules especially, but not limited to, noise levels, alcohol and drug abuse, verbal abuse, immoral behaviour and any other rule that contradicts the resort rules.  Non compliance will lead to immediate eviction at managments and / or security's sole discretion.**
** Please note: All units have VERY steep spiral staircases. The staircases are not suitable for the elderly, small children or guests who have had recent operations or may have back or walking problems.** *Please note that Load shedding does affect the resort and the water supply.  It is advised to bring extra rechargeable lights and anything else you might need during outages. The resort does supply candles and matches. **We suggest that you download the ESP application on you mobile device and select Sedgefield as a location for the most accurate schedule and updates on load shedding in our area.
  • Please note that our Café on Baywater Village is not a restaurant and only serves light meals and take aways and not dinner.
